How to Get Back Missing Text Tab Option in Canva 2024

First time using Canva? And when you look at tutorials on how to use Canva, you can't find the TEXT TAB OPTION? Or… did it suddenly disappear without you knowing where it went?

Don't worry! You can find it and put it back with the other panels.

If you’re using a laptop or PC, you can just click CTRL + T to insert text. However, this shortcut will not work in the Canva app. Let's find where the missing tab is.

For computer:

  1. Open a new design or an existing design.
  2. Look at the side panel.
  3. Find the "Apps" tab and click it.
  4. Scroll down until you find "More from Canva."
  5. Select the tab you want to restore to the side panel. In this case, select the TEXT tab to restore it.

For apps (smartphone):

  1. Open a new design or an existing design.
  2. Swipe left and find the "Apps" tab, then click it.
  3. Scroll down and find "More from Canva."
  4. Select the tab you want to restore. In this case, select the TEXT tab to restore it.

Hope this helps! If you’re interested in trying Canva Pro for 30 days, you can click here.

How to Convert Canva Presentation to PowerPoint

I’m sure many people don’t know that you can edit slide presentations in Canva and export them as PowerPoint slides. You can also present directly from Canva, but if you prefer PowerPoint, that’s fine too. Just do whatever feels most comfortable for you.

Before I jump into the tutorial, I want to share some benefits of editing slides in Canva.

  1. Ready-to-Use Templates
Canva offers thousands of templates in various styles. Whether you’re looking for something playful or a more formal, office-appropriate design, there’s something for everyone.

  2. Vast Library of Photos, Icons, and Graphics
Canva provides access to hundreds of thousands of graphics with just a click. No need to waste time searching elsewhere and risking an unprofessional look.

  3. Edit Anywhere, Anytime
Since Canva is cloud-based, you can work on your slides from any device with internet access, whether it’s your phone, PC, or laptop.

  4. Easy Export Options
If you’re already using Canva, exporting your slides is simple. Just click “Share,” then “Download,” and choose your file type—whether it’s PPTX, PDF, video, PNG, SVG, or another format.

  5. Wide Range of Fonts
Canva has a variety of fonts to choose from, and they usually convert well when you export to PPTX (PowerPoint format). However, it’s always a good idea to double-check your file after downloading to ensure everything looks right.

It may seem straightforward, and some of you might already know this, but remember, there’s always someone who might find this information helpful.

Alright, let’s move on to the tutorial on "How to Convert a Canva Presentation to PowerPoint." If you’d like to read this in another language, please click the translate button. Thank you.

To Convert Your Canva Presentation:

  1. Create Your Design
Start by selecting the “Presentation” canvas in Canva to design your slides.

  2. Download Your Presentation
When you’re ready, download your slides. Click “Share” > “Download” > “Choose File Type - PPTX” > “Download.” Your file will automatically download as a PowerPoint file (PPTX).

  3. Open the Downloaded File
Once the download is complete, open the file. It will already be in PPTX format, and it should open in PowerPoint. Click “Enable Editing” and then “Slide Show” to preview your slides.

Conclusion

Whether you’re a student, teacher, or professional, Canva makes it easy to create stunning presentations that you can edit, share, and present anywhere. Plus, with the option to export your work to PowerPoint, you have the flexibility to present in the format you’re most comfortable with.

5 Useful Canva Apps You Might Not Know You Need

Canva has grown significantly over the past 11 years. Now, there are various apps inside Canva that help users design more effectively and flexibly. Where to find the Apps? Open Canva > Create A Design > Apps (Left - Vertical Line).

Here are 5 useful Canva apps you might not know you need :

1. QR Code

This app helps generate custom QR codes for printing and sharing. Just add a URL, and it will create a QR code for you. You can customize the background and foreground colors.

Simply type "QR Code" in the Apps Search Box. Other similar apps include:

- Simple QR Code

- QR Codes (& Links)

- QR Batch

- Dynamic QR Codes

- Flowcode QR

Personally, I use "QR Code" because it's simpler.

2. Mockups

This app helps users visualize the final product. You can insert your design into any mockup you choose. Options include videos, smartphones, print, apparel, computers, frames, Home & Living, packaging, tablets, and more.

3. TypeCraft

If you frequently use Canva, you know that text warping options are none and just offers a few text effects. With TypeCraft Apps in Canva, you can alter text shapes (tax warping) to fit your needs.

4. Background Eraser

Background Eraser is similar to BG Remover (Background Remover) in Canva. However, while BG Remover requires a Canva Pro subscription, you can use the Background Eraser app for free. You can also use Clear Background.

5. Equations

Equations is an Equation Maker app, especially useful for students and teachers. You can easily create math formulas without needing to import them from outside sources, making it convenient for creating notes and quizzes.

In conclusion, Canva Apps makes it an even more powerful tool for designers. Keep in mind that some of these apps might be in beta or could be removed by Canva in the future. But as long as they're available, they're great tools to take advantage of for your design projects.

The difference between Canva Free and Pro

Canva is the user-friendly design platform. If you don't know how to use software like Adobe or need to find ready-made illustrations/vectors, Canva is the answer.

The question is, do we need to pay for Canva before we can try it, or is Canva actually free?

Canva has two versions: the FREE version and the PRO version. For the FREE version, you don't need to pay anything unless you use certain items/tools that only PRO users can use. But fear not, you can still design and download it. For the PRO version, you can pay monthly or yearly, as an individual or team.

The difference between Canva FREE and PRO

How can you identify which items/tools are restricted in Canva Free? You can spot them by the crown icon, which Canva places on features exclusive to Canva PRO users.

Pricing varies depending on the region and the specific plan (individual, team, or enterprise). If you want to try Canva PRO and get 30 days free. You can click here or click the banner. Thank you.

Canva Pro Elements Keyword by Bibs

Hi! Good afternoon.

You can click here to view my elements. I will update this as much as I can because this is a LIVE link. You can view it while I'm updating it at the same time. You can also click the banner below to view the elements.

I started actively creating elements for Canva at the end of 2023 and have continued until now. Currently, I have a total of 490 elements on Canva. Slowly but surely! My goal is to reach 1,000 elements before the end of 2024.

For those who don't know what Canva 'elements' are: If you use Canva, you will see a tab labeled 'Elements' that contains graphics, pictures, and even videos that you can use for your designs. For those who haven't used Canva, think of it as various stickers or ready-to-use illustrations, in other words, vectors.

Now, about Elements 'Keywords'. What is a 'keyword'? When a set of elements that I upload gets approved, a keyword is given. When you input this keyword into the search tab in the Elements Tab, the whole collection of elements will appear. Here is an example of a keyword:

set:nAGKh3PgE_c

If you are a Canva Pro user, you can use my elements as much as you want without paying for each piece. You only pay your usual monthly/annual Canva Pro subscription. If you use the free version of Canva, you need to pay per element that you use.

What is Canva?

Canva is a web-based design online platform that everyone can use to edit anywhere using a laptop or smartphone (apps). When I say design platform, it's not like Adobe or Affinity. It's easier and you do not need any advanced skills. It offers customizable templates, images, fonts, icons, and illustrations.

You can create:

  • Social media posts
  • Presentations
  • Posters
  • Infographics
  • E-books
  • Websites
  • Etc.

Easy, right? It's like one platform for all. If you don't have any ideas for design, Canva has thousands of pre-designed templates for you. If you're worried about where to get icons, illustrations, or pictures, there are millions of them ready for you to use. You can also export designs in various formats including PDF, PNG, JPG, and SVG.

The amazing thing about Canva is you can use the free version (no time limit). You can still design in Canva and use Canva tools, but there are certain tools and illustrations that you cannot use. However, you can export and finish your design just fine.

If you want to use other tools such as more templates, premium images, advanced design tools, and create custom templates, etc., you can upgrade to Canva Pro. You can pay monthly or annually, individually or as teams.

BUT! It's free if you are a teacher or student at an eligible school. You can check it out here.

About Me

Hi, my name is Emma, or you can call me Bibs. Bibs stands for Biru is Blue Studio. Don’t ask me why I chose Biru is Blue when Biru means Blue. I have no idea, hahahha.

Currently, I'm a vector designer or digital designer that creates vectors, templates, and patterns. A few days ago, I finally became a Canvassador. So, I will get some commission if you subscribe to Canva Pro, and you will get a 30-day free trial.

Other than that, I'm just a girl. A 'little' cute girl. LOL! Sooo, this is my blog. It's not that official because I don't have a domain yet. Hopefully, I can get one soon. Thank you in advance for supporting me.
